The seminar at Cyprus

The member of the extended Executive Committee of Friendship Force Varel, Rainer Becker, attended an international seminar covering “Learning in Later Life – new Challenges for Adult Education” at Larnaca, Cyprus during the week from March 26th to 30th. The event which is part of the EU-GRUNDTVIG-Program for adult education was performed under the management of Klitos Symeonides, who is a representative of the “Cyprus Adult Education Association” and also a member of Friendship Force.

The approval process of the national authority approved the work of Friendship Force as a contribution to intercultural education and communication in the area of adult education.

During the seminar the concept of Friendship Force was reflected with great interest by the 46 participants, facilitators and mentors from 15 nations and they regarded the aims and performance as an important independent variant or as a supplement to other measures of adult learning.
