A Weekend in Hannover

On the weekend July 10th to 12th a group of eight club members from Friendship Force Varel followed an invitation of Friendship Force Hannover to gain an impression of the World’s Greatest Fair Featuring Shooting Matches in Lower Saxony’s Capital.

The day of arrival was mainly dedicated to this event, whilst an evening barbecue party with the members from Friendship Force Hannover in the garden of Erika and Ralph Pape made the highlight of the second day. As a special surprise we enjoyed the performance of the two organ grinders Irene Böttcher and Bruno Siebert. Despite the fact that we knew the artists from their appearance during their visit to our Bossel and Kale party in February of 2008 it was again an inspiring experience. A further surprising event was the show offered by a Singer Duo, who presented modern songs in a very natural and refreshing mode of expression.

Sunday was the day for individual programmes offering sightseeing tours in and around the city of Hannover which finally ended by taking the train returning home.
