A visit to Friendship Force Vogtland
(Germany)
In the morning of August 29th 2008 seven members from FF Varel
took off for a visit to Friendship Force Vogtland. As they had rented
a van for the transportation they had already lots of fun en route
during the travel.
Due to the fact that the group arrived late on Friday afternoon,
there was no common programme planned for the rest of that day.
The hosts welcomed them on a parking lot of the highway and as there
homes were widely spread in the area everybody enjoyed a separate
and individual programme. However they all had the opportunity to
admire the "Göltzschtal-Bridge”, one of world’s
famous bridges in the region.
On the following Saturday after sightseeing of the host’s hometowns
and their local areas all of them met late afternoon for a combined
common welcome and farewell party with lots of food, drinks and
talks and along that nice time Sunday morning with the end of the
visit and the time of departure came much too soon.
On departure commonly expressed everybody their interest in the
continuation of the new gained friendship. The visitor group from
Varel thanked again for the hospitality of their hosts inviting
them to join the annual Bossel and Kale Event in February 2009 at
Varel.
