Global Youth Meeting at Moscow and Saint Petersburg
This year Friendship Force Varel (FFV) is again
organizing the participation of young people from their greater
region at the Global Youth Institute (GYI) Meeting, which
is scheduled from June 21st to July 9th 2010 at Moscow and
Saint Petersburg.

The Exchange to Pau with a tour through France
In the city of Pau, which located at the basis of the Pyrenees
between the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, there was
a hearty reunion between half of the travel group and the
hosts from Friendship Force Pau who had been visiting Varel
in 2007.

Friendship Force Osaka visits Varel
After having spent a week in Vogtland (Saxony/Germany), our
Japanese guests were welcomed by their hosts at Oldenburg
main station. Thereafter they were taken to the families for
an initial getting to know each other..

FF Varel Ambassadors ”racked their brain“
During their exchange to Salt Lake City, 13 ambassadors of
Friendship Force Varel were taxing their brain real hard to
cram all day English idiomatic phrases. The class was skillfully
taught by a charming woman teacher.

A Weekend in Hannover
On the weekend July 10th to 12th a group of eight club members
from FF Varel followed an invitation of Friendship Force Hannover
to gain an impression of the World’s Greatest Fair Featuring
Shooting Matches in of Lower Saxony’s Capital.

Incoming exchange from FF Lethbridge
Ten ambassadors from the Friendship Force Lethbridge (Canada,
Province Alberta) have been hosted by Friendship Force Varel
from May 24th to 30th 2009.
Our visitor program showed the “Prairie People”
from Southern Alberta local and regional attractions, not
least specific coastal respectively maritime museums and facilities.

The German Conference at FF Bavaria
This year’s German Conference which was held at a modernized
Hotel with a middle aged façade in downtown old Nuernberg
from January 30th to 1st February 2009 was accompanied by
cold winter sunshine from the “warm-up” with “the
special sausages and sauerkraut” until the guided city
tour on the final day.
